Being surrounded by children and helping them grow has always been a huge part of Hanne’s life. With a love for languages, voice, previous nanny work as well as training kids in track and field and volunteering in a daycare centre for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, speech pathology became her passion as her career.
Originally from Belgium, Hanne completed her studies there and was very fortunate to also complete an additional postgraduate degree in stuttering, something that is not available here in Australia. She has previously worked in school environments, special education and a private multidisciplinary practice and helped children and adults with speech sound disorders, developmental language disorders, stuttering, voice disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorder, learning disabilities and complex developmental disorders. She has recently done more training to help children who are Gestalt Language Processors and have feeding difficulties.
Why Kids Chatter?
“I highly value the family-friendly service with active parent-involvement that Kids Chatter offers to their clients. I believe in a family-centered approach to achieve the best results and immediate improvement of quality of life. I am thrilled to be part of an enthusiastic team of Speech Pathologists who professionally support clients and their families, and each other!”
When she’s not at work, she spends her time with her little toddler or you’ll find her going for a run outside, playing the ukulele or taking singing lessons, which is a new passion of hers. She also loves the sun and the beach, and enjoys spending time with her fiance, son and friends playing outdoor games.
