For Rosalie, becoming a Speech Language Pathologist was a natural fit, blending her love of talking and communicating with lots of people (big and small) and has a deep understanding of the challenges people face when learning a new language. Having grown up learning English as a second language herself, she developed a strong appreciation for the power of communication and the struggles that can come with it. This experience sparked a lifelong passion for helping others and finds it very rewarding to know she can make a difference in someone’s ability to speak and share their thoughts, feelings and ideas with confidence.
With over 15 years of experience working in multidisciplinary teams across Sydney, Melbourne, and London, Rosalie has developed a wealth of expertise in supporting children with early language delays, speech sound disorders, and stuttering. She has also spent a decade working in private practice, refining her skills in working with young children and their families, and she has also served as the English Principal of Wings School, a bilingual daycare and kindergarten in Zurich. Additionally, her role as Clinical Lead for the School Readiness Funding program in Victoria saw her working closely with daycare and preschool educators to enhance communication skills in early childhood settings.
Why Kids Chatter?
“The first time I visited Kids Chatter, I immediately felt welcomed by the friendly team and was impressed by the beautiful, purpose-built clinic spaces designed with children in mind. The team has such a diverse range of skills and experiences, and I’m excited to collaborate and learn alongside them.”
Rosalie’s clinical interests include speech delays and disorders, particularly articulation and phonology, preschool stuttering, early language development, parent coaching, and working closely with educators. She enjoys running speech, language, and school readiness groups, as well as delivering parent and educator workshops to build capacity in supporting children’s communication development.
Outside of work, Rosalie is an adventurer at heart. Having lived in Switzerland for seven years, she has a deep love for travel and immersing herself in new cultures especially when it comes to learning about customs, languages, and, of course, food! She enjoys watching musicals, plays, and films, and loves to spend time cooking, gardening, and tackling trivia quizzes. Her weekends always start with a strong cappuccino and a cryptic crossword, setting the tone for another exciting and fulfilling week ahead.
With her wealth of experience, engaging personality, and passion for helping children communicate, Rosalie brings a dynamic and enthusiastic approach to speech pathology. Families working with her can look forward to fun, engaging, and effective therapy tailored to their child’s unique needs.
